CO-OPERATIVE LINUX

SEMINAR ON CO-OPERATIVE LINUX : This seminar describes Cooperative Linux, a port of the Linux kernel that allows it to operate as a unprivileged light weight virtual machine in kernel mode,on top of another operating system kernel. It allows Linux to perform on any operating system compatible loading drivers, such as Windows or Linux, after minimal porting effort. The document includes details of the implementation of current and future applications, and its comparison with other methods of Linux virtualization. Among the technical details, it also presents the CPU-complete context switch code, the hardware interrupt transmission, the interface between the host OS and Linux, and management of the VM‘s pseudo physical RAM.
